IDEA and Advocacy Training in Wood Dale, IL April 9th OR April 13th.
Andrea Marwah, outreach staff will be presenting a full day IDEA/Advocacy workshop in Wood Dale.
This training provides families with legal information about laws that protect their child who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing as well as information on the importance of successfully advocating for their child. This session is especially useful for parents who have children getting ready to transition from EI to their local education agency. However, it is useful for all families regardless of the age of their child.
Professionals can gain understanding on the laws as well as gain this information from the parents perspective.
Andrea Marwah will also be presenting an instruction session on this topic at the National EHDI Meeting in Rosemont on Sunday, March 3. Information about this session and the EHDI conference can be found: https://ehdimeeting.org/Meetings.cfm
