Our trained and licensed Career and Technical Education staff provide introductory classes in vocational areas so that you can graduate with a game plan. Programs of study consist of a sequence of courses providing a comprehensive training in a desired area.
Students can take advantage of career courses offered at both the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired and Lincoln Land Community College, both located in Jacksonville, with accommodations.
Student Work Experience Programs incorporate lessons on budgeting, banking, and mock interviews. Opportunities include:
• work during the school day, earning a stipend and credit
• work after school, earning a paycheck
• job shadowing, experiencing a specific occupation or industry up close and personal
• mock interviews to practice interview
