Our highly-trained Evaluation Center staff provides assessment, enrichment, and intervention services for deaf and hard of hearing students who are enrolled at ISD, as well as other school-age residents of Illinois who are deaf andĀ hard of hearing. Our department also serves adult clients of the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) who are deaf and hard of hearing and referred forĀ assessments by their rehabilitation counselors.

The Health Center Center operates a 24-hour medical unit with a Registered Nurse on duty at all times when students are on campus. Our goal is to provide the highest standard of care through promotion of a safe and healthy environment. We serve as liaisons for parents, school and dorm personnel, and professional healthcare providers to help the students function at their highest potential. Please be assured that if your child is ill or has any medical concerns, we will be in direct contact with you. Our Health Center cares about the well-being of our staff & students, and we love to help others!!
